Thing People with Disability taught me
My first visit to centre of People with Disabilities was few years back then. Honestly speaking, I never expect those children to not only be physically challenged, but also mentally and socially challenged. Some of them couldn’t even sit up straight, some of them couldn’t eat by themselves, some of them couldn’t even hold a cup and some of them can’t speak a word. Seeing their deformed physical appearances made me feel really sad. Out of my expectation, those children are cheerful and happy despite the abnormalities they have. They laugh so hard that they could tear from it. Instantly, I realized that happiness simply comes from the ways you see things. I see their abnormalities, but they don’t and never do. It’s so often that we always focus too much on how people judge about us instead of choosing how we see ourselves.
