Ms.Thoo Fong Ming is a 61-year-old patient with kidney failure. When she is 50, her husband passed away and it makes her really upset and grief that she had lost her partner, her son has abandoned the family and leave the house without any financial or emotional support to her own mother. Her daughter has polio disease and unemployed. Fortunately, her son-in-law never reluctant to hold up the whole family financially with his job as air-conditional specialist, but his monthly salary of Rm2600 is not sufficient to cover the family daily expense and his mother-in-law monthly dialysis expense of nearly Rm2000. 百善孝为先父亲的健康再穷都不能等

Ledchumanan is a 63-year-old patient with kidney disease because he is too old to get subsidies from Perkeso. He needs to pay Rm1800 in his dialysis cost monthly and this is such a huge financial burden to his three children. His eldest son needed to pay the rental and groceries for his parents, while the second son need to pay the monthly installment of his parents transport to the dialysis centre, and the youngest son needed to pay the full dialysis cost of Rm1800 with his monthly average salary of Rm2300. Almost 75% of his salary goes directly to the dialysis centre just for his father sake.

Muniandy (63 years old) is the head of a family of six. Before he was diagnosed as having kidney failure in January 2016, he worked for Sime Darby to do the rubber tapping in Pulau Carey. He was sent to the St John dialysis centre Shah Alam cause it’s the cheapest dialysis cost that he can afford but it cost him Rm2200 monthly as well. His wife utilized all of her EPF savings and spent on his dialysis cost but it only lasted for a year. His eldest son, Kunasekaran, who worked as a technician have to carry this financial burden all by himself because 5 of his siblings chose to turn away from his parents.

病魔缠身三十年 最大的奢望只求安逸

Mr. Paschal Gomez, who is 76 years old, was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when he was 30 years old, which is considered a chronic enteritis. He has undergone a few intestinal resection operations to keep himself alive. Currently, there is no medication or operation that could put this illness to an end, so he has to rely on medication to ease the illness and to prevent recrudescence. Hence, Great Heart will be providing dialysis funding of Rm720 for 6 months, in hope that it could reduce some burden on Pascal and his wife. Care in hand, Love in heart.

熬过了苦日子，总是雨过天晴

During October 2016, Abdul Rahman bin Ishak, aged 66 from Hulu Langat asked for help from Great Heart Charity to support him on the dialysis cost when he was diagnosed with kidney disease. After six months of help in Great Heart dialysis aid of Rm720 monthly from October 2016 until April 2017, our social worker is glad to hear him saying that even though his haemogoblin level is a bit low, but his physical condition is very stable and healthy.

She carried the financial burden of nearly Rm2000 monthly in the dialysis cost with only Rm1800 salary included overtime. Great Heart Charity Association is helping to reduce the burden of daughter Veliamah, RM720 is subsidies to dialysis centre on their behalf monthly for six months starting April 2017. We hope that more people in the society can help this amazing daughter to reduce her financial burden.

老婆为我日夜奔波 心疼却无能为力

Mr. Kumararaja is a kidney disease patient who live together and supported by his wife in his shophouse. His wife worked in the semiconductor factory and worked 12 hours daily in order to support the household expense and his dialysis fee. Mr. Kumararaja really hoped that everyone to help him and his wife in just his dialysis cost as he felt bad and guilty for relying on his wife these years. Great heart charity will be helping Kumararaja in 6 months, Rm720 monthly dialysis subsidies, to reduce his burden and we hope more people can support us in helping him leading a better life.

一张轮椅，一份暖心

Azirah is a single mother who suffered from lung inflammation, and she could only walk for a very limited distance because she has asthma and she needs to be taken care by her son most of the time. Government welfare association has helped her on her rental payment monthly and she relied on her only son to support her daily expense in foods and groceries. When we handed the wheelchair to Azirah’s, they are pleased and grateful that it will be more convenient for her son to push her to hospital using wheelchair from now on.

Kidzania Trip with Orphans 2017

IDM Management Sdn. Bhd. has sponsored 30 orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Selangor and Padmasambhava Chidren Loving Association Klang Selangor for a trip to KidZania. Other than that, IDM Management Sdn. Bhd. had organized a meet & greet session with Barney mascot for the kids. Care takers couldn’t thank more on the efforts and time given by the volunteers, Great Heart Charity Association and IDM Management Sdn. Bhd. in organizing the event.
