During my volunteering time with a mangrove rehabilitation & clean up project in a mangrove forest, I learnt that it takes 10 years for a baby mangrove tree to grow into an adult tree.

During the clean up activity, I have picked up so much plastic, glass bottles, food packaging etc. These are trashes from the sea and washed up to the shore.

My will of going zero waste has never been stronger than right now. Every foot step I put on ground, I find pieces of trash which come in all forms, from as small as micro plastic (candy wrapper, fishing string etc) to huge waste such as a broken TV!

On a side note, it was an unforgettable and fun experience in getting stuck in the mud.
